The origins of ink
Jagua is a plant that grows mainly in the Amazon. For centuries, Amazonian tribes have used this ink to tattoo their bodies.
The Inca people were the first to discover the staining properties of jagua juice. The name INKA PARIS is therefore a (barely disguised) nod to the first people to have used temporary ink for aesthetic purposes.
At INKA PARIS, we work with resident producers in Peru. The fruit is picked on-site, the juice is extracted, and it is sent fresh to Paris immediately after the extraction process.
We have selected the best jagua producers. Today, we are proud to collaborate with local producers who are capable of guaranteeing us fresh juice of remarkable quality.
The INKA PARIS ink is then prepared and bottled in a laboratory in the south of France. Cheers to that!
