Inka Paris FAQ
Ink
Is ink irritating?
No, INKA PARIS ink has brilliantly passed the patch test, a test ensuring that it is non-irritating. The product is very well tolerated by the skin (tested under dermatological control)
What are the ingredients?
INKA ink is made from Jagua juice (Genipa Americana fruit juice), alcohol*, acacia senegal gum, thymus vulgaris flower/leaf oil*, xanthan gum, aqua, potassium sorbate, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol, linalool, limonene, geraniol, citral
*ingredients from organic farming
Is this vegan ink?
Yes: the ink contains only plant-based products and is not tested on animals.
Is the ink suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women?
The ink contains essential oils. For this reason, it is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Is the ink suitable for children?
The ink is for adults only and for external use exclusively.
Directions for use
Why does this take 8 to 15 days?
This is the approximate time it takes for the skin to regenerate.
Why wait 30 minutes?
That is the time it takes for the Jagua fruit to react with the skin. It is a long time, but we are working hard to reduce it.
Why does the tattoo appear gradually?
The components of INKA ink trigger a natural oxidation process in skin cells. This reaction is not immediate and takes approximately 6 to 12 hours to occur. This is how long it takes for the tattoo to appear.
How should ink be stored?
INKA ink is made from a fruit juice: jagua. To properly store your ink, you must put it in the freezer if you are not using it right away. To use it next time, thaw it 2 hours before use and shake the vial gently to remove the thawing water (otherwise the ink may be too thin and leak under the stencil).
How long does ink last?
The ink is provided with a best-before date on the bottle of approximately 6 months. There is no danger in using the ink beyond this date, it is only possible that it may be less effective (the black color on the skin will be less pronounced).
To store it for longer, keep it in the freezer before and after use.
How do I remove ink if I've stained myself?
INKA ink is a product that stains very quickly. But don't panic, it's not indelible ;)
To speed up the process, we recommend washing the tattooed area with soap and water while rubbing lightly (don't go scrubbing your skin off).
You can also exfoliate the area (using a suitable glove, not a pumice stone or sandpaper).
Finally, one last quite effective solution is to use micellar water to clean it.
Tattoos
Can stencils be reused?
They are for single use. It is very important for the success of the tattoo to have perfect adhesion to the skin, which ensures that the ink does not bleed under the stencil. This would not be the case with a second use.
What do I need to do my tattoos?
Everything is in the kit you will receive at home: the glove, the spatula, and the instructions.
Is it easy to use?
Yes, you just need to follow our recommendations, especially the tutorial.
Do you do custom tattoos?
Absolutely, we can develop a custom stencil with you.
There is a technical fee, as it requires graphic design time to transform a drawing or logo into a stencil and to study its durability and integrity as a single piece.
Another solution: we manage a list of your design requests :) Leave us your idea, and if it receives the most votes, it will be created and put online for free!

Should I put the ink in the freezer as soon as I receive it?
Yes, that's better, or at least in the refrigerator. It will keep longer that way. Remember to take it out 30 minutes before using it, and to shake it well before serving. You can then put it back in the freezer without any risk.
